BLACK SABBATH “13”Vertigo
It seems “13” is the most important metal album of the last decade - it has started millions of discussions around the globe - even more than “Death Magnetic” - immediatelly entered charts in many countries what doesn’t happen with Metal records that often, and let’s face it, Black Sabbath are probably the most important Metal act ever. I will go a bit personal here, but I would say some of the best riffs of the genre were written by Tony Iommi, and actually, for me, it’s him and Geezer who are Black Sabbath. I mean yeah, the classic line up with Bill and Ozzy is absolutely legendary, but some of my favorite Sabbath albums like “Heaven And Hell” or “Mob Rules”, were recorded without 1 or 2 of those guys. It’s of course pity Bill didn’t record this album with them, but since we have Tony, Geezer, (and Ozzy), it’s the REAL Black Sabbath, at least for me (btw. all people who keep on bashing Sharon: please read Ozzy’s autobiography. If there would be no Sharon, there would be no Ozzy and no Sabbath. Just saying.)… To be honest I’ve never been huge Ozzy fan, I mean I love this guy, his stage presence and charisma, I love his solo albums, and without a doubt he is an absolute legend of rock and metal, but when it comes to Sabbath vocalists, I somehow always liked more Dio and Tony Martin. So I would rather say I more respect him than I like his voice. Anyway, “13”. The fact there are few new riffs written by Tony Iommi on this album, was for me already a reason good enough, to buy it. But the truth is this album sounds like the good, old Black Sabbath. Their music is simple, but incredibly powerful, epic, mysterious and dark. I’m also very happy they decided to work with Rick Rubin, as in my opinion he is one of the absolutely best producers ever - it’s hard to say how many of his ideas and arrangement solutions landed on “13”, but whatever we will think or say, “13” sounds absolutely awesome. There are better and worse tracks here, but each of them has own personality and own character. To sum it up: don’t believe in any reviews, so also don’t believe in this one, as there isn’t something like “objective” reviews. Just give this album a chance, listen, and decide if you like it or not. But I can assure you, that the guy who wrote THIS review, totally fuckin’ loves “13”. As it’s the classic Black Sabbath album. Amen.

Holy fuckin’ shit! The new STORMZONE album! It’s fuckin’ amazing! Buy, support, worship or whatever, this is seriously one of the very best Heavy Metal albums I heard in a long time! Great songs, great melodies, great riffs, great sound - and finally compositions that actually stay in your head and you remember them after one listening! I fuckin’ love it! Fans of classic MAIDEN albums or SAXON maniacs, this one’s for ya!
